Description:  The Conway Scenic Railroads high hood EMD GP35, 216, was built in 1965 for the Norfolk & Western Railway as their 1328, it was sold to the Springfield Terminal in the early 1990s and sold to the Conway Scenic Railroad in 2010, where it received a fresh coat of Maine Central inspired paint, it has since been used as the main power of the Notch Train alongside ex-Maine Central GP38 252.

Description:  Conway Scenic Railroad Notch Train 163 pulls past the Bartlett Depot and up to Bear Notch Road. Normally, Train 163 makes a station stop here to allow the passengers to stretch their legs, but with the poor weather on this day, Train 163 merely slowed to give the passengers a view of the town. In a few miles, it will enter the Crawford Notch State Park and begin the steep climb to the Notch.

Description:  After a layover at the Crawford Notch Depot, the Notch Train slowly pulls away from the depot and towards the "Gateway" at the heart of Crawford Notch. Seen here, the train is crossing the headwaters of the Saco River, 160-feet below the granite rock formation known as the "Elephant Head", with dual control stand-equipped EMD GP35 216, running long hood forward, as power.
