Description:  On April 27th 2017, the Green Mountain Railroads Train 263 operated with a short consist between Rutland and Bellows Falls, Vermont, carrying cars bound for the Pan Am Railways and the New England Central, with leased GATX Corporation Electro-Motive Division GP38-2 #2147 leading one of the railroads two six-axle locomotives, EMD SD70M-2 #431, a former Florida East Coast unit. Here the trains power crosses VT Route 103, the Appalachian Trail and the Long Trail in East Clarendon.

Description:  Restricted to 10MPH due to the many steep gradients on the line, Green Mountain Railroad Train 263-27 creeps across the famous, at least locally famous, Cuttingsville "Hanging Bridge", officially known as Bridge #47, with GATX EMD GP38-2 #2147, lettered for the Natchez Railway but leased to the Vermont Rail System, and EMD SD70M-2 #431 as power.

Description:  After making an impressive descent of five-hundred feet in only a few miles, Green Mountain Railroad Train 263-27s power, GATX EMD GP38-2 #2147 and Vermont Railway EMD SD70M-2 #431 rolls into Ludlow as the Engineer eases off the dynamic braking for the brief level section through the town. Though the steep part is over, the train still has another seven-hundred feet to descend to Riverside on the banks of the Connecticut River.

Description:  Rolling through peat bogs and dense spruce, fir and tamarack forests, the Vermont Rail Systems Rutland to Bellows Falls job, Green Mountain Railroad Train 263, approaches the summit of the Green Mountain Gateway in Mount Holly, Vermont, with Vermont Railway EMD SD70M-2 leading and GATX EMD GP38-2 trailing on the point of the loaded thirty-one car consist. Within half an hour, the crew of Train 263-26 would get to work unloading the four loaded ballast hoppers as part of a track repair project in Okemo.

Title:  VRS GMRC Train 263-26 at Chester Depot
Description:  Rolling through the quaint village of Chester Depot, Green Mountain Railroad Train 263-26, led by Vermont Railway EMD SD70M-2 431 and GATX EMD GP38-2 2215, passes the former Rutland Railroad Station, which once contained the offices of the Green Mountain Railroad Corporation when they were an independent company. Now the Green Mountain Railroad Corp. is operated by the Vermont Rail System as a subsidiary and its freight operations are based out of Rutland. The first four cars in the consist, open-top ballast hoppers, were emptied along the mainline in Okemo as part of a project to upgrade the track condition of the Green Mountain Gateway. The remaining twenty-seven cars are heading to Riverside Yard to be handed off to Pan Am Railways for shipment to some of the paper mills near Portland, Maine.

Description:  Vermont Railway six-axle and leased GATX Corporation four-axle locomotives, in the form of VTR 431 and GATX 2215, lead the Vermont Rail Systems Green Mountain Railroad Train 263-26 across Lower Bartonsville Road in the village of Bartonsville, Vermont en route to Riverside Yard in Rockingham with twenty-seven loads for Pan Am Railways and four empties to return to Rutland on Train 264-26 later in the evening. The Bartonsville Covered Bridge, spanning the Williams River, was rebuilt in 2012 following the severe flooding from Hurricane Irene the previous year that washed away the original covered bridge built in 1870.
