Title:
A Meet on the Berkshire Line
Description:
While NYNH&H ALCo RS-3 #562 holds the siding at Lenox awaiting its turn to enter the station, NYNH&H GE 50 Tonner #67 boards passengers at the 1902-built station. In reality, these are the units of the Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum, neither of which ever saw service on the New York, New Haven & Hartford. The NYNH&Hs Berkshire Line, which many similar locomotives once operated on, is now owned by the Housatonic Railroad and is traversed almost daily by newer, though not by much, EMD GP35 diesel electric locomotives.

A Meet on the NYNH&Hs Berkshire Line
Description:
With the Berkshire Scenic Railway Museums New York, New Haven & Hartford painted GE 45 ton switcher resting on the Pocket Track at the historic Lenox Depot while the Housatonic Railroads Canaan-Pittsfield road job, NX-12, rolls by on the former NYNH&H Berkshire Line behind ex-Conrail, ex-Penn Central, nee-Pennsylvania Railroad EMD "General Purpose" series road power. Moments later, NX-12 would make a brief stop to cut in another load at the Lenox Valley Waste Transfer Facility before continuing north with cars for CSX Transportation at Pittsfield.
